  Welcome to our website... Safe Pathways Counseling Inc. (formerly known as:Cornerstone Counseling & Consulting Specialists.LLC) is a highly specialized, licensed and credentialed group practice located at the Twin Stacks Complex, 1172 Twin Stacks Drive in Dallas, Pennsylvania. We offer services to adults, children, individuals, families & couples... Specializing in traumatic stress therapy, complex PTSD, LGBT issues, substance abuse, stress disorders, depression and anxiety.

 

 

  Marie C. Gray, Ph.D., L.P.C., F.A.A.E.T.S., F.N.C.C.M., B.C.E.T.S., C.T.M.H., C.C.T.P. Level 1 & Level 2, opened the doors to private practice in January 2003 as a sole practitioner located within the heart of the Back Mountain at the Twin Stacks Complex.  Already recognized as a specialist and expert in the field of traumatic stress both locally, state wide and nationally, she contracted with different organizations to provide therapy, psychoeducation, in addition to intermediate and advanced level training and supervision to professionals and organizations within the mental health community and state hospital systems. In December 2007, Dr. Gray incorporated the former Cornerstone Counseling & Consulting Specialists, LLC as a sole-proprietorship, based on recognizing the need to expand in order to meet the needs of identified consumers.   Our areas of specialties remain to be Trauma Specific as opposed to Trauma Informed treatment utilizing the VSI©:Victim, Survivor, Integration Model for treating trauma, abuse, victimization through a socio cultural relational model which remains to be based in object relations and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, striving on

empowerment through inherent or acquired resiliency.  The professional staff associated with Safe Pathways Counseling Inc. remain to be recognized as experts within the field of Trauma Practice, Education and Research locally and outside the realm of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The associated areas of practice includes treatment specific to adolescents, adults, families, couples and small specialized appropriate group therapeutic interventions. The specialized practitioners within the context of Safe Pathways Counseling Inc. remain recognized, respected and sought out as expert witnesses within the legal and family court systems as well as child welfare, child, adolescent and adult Mental Health and Cognitive Deficit advocates/organizations as well as LGBTQI specialized areas of practice.

  Practitioners for Safe Pathways Counseling Inc. are required to be licensed or licensure eligible and must maintain said licensure in addition to obtaining and maintaining specialized ongoing training, membership and credentialing through qualified organizations such as National Center for Crisis Management [NCCM], American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress [AAETS], International Society for the Study of Dissociation and Trauma [ISSTD], International Society for the Studies for Traumatic Stress [ISSTS], National Organization for Victims Assistance [NOVA], American Psychological Association [APA], American Counseling Association [ACA] National Association of Social Workers [NASW], Northamerican Association of Masters in Psychology [NAMP], National Board for Certified Counselors [NBCC],  and American Psychotherapy Association [APA]. Additionally, our practitioners maintain membership to state, county and local aspects of the above credentialing and professional organizations such as Northeastern Pennsylvania Psychological Association [NEPPA], Pennsylvania Counseling Association [PCA], Pennsylvania Association for Lesbian Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling [PALGBIC] in addition to receiving ongoing supervision by two licensed psychologists and Dr. Marie Gray who remains licensed as a Professional Counselor and maintains Fellow Status in two areas through National Center for Crisis Management and American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.
